Change the shoulder of a jacket

Instructions

Turn the jacket inside-out, so that you can modify the inside of the jacket without causing visible damage to the outside of the shirt.

Remove the shoulder seam using the hooked end of the découd. Use the hook on the seam Ripper pull on each individual point to cut the seam. Do not completely remove the entire seam, simply cut around the shoulder area where is located the armpit. Remove the shoulder pads if your jacket has them.

Fold out of the duct to the shoulder. Generally about an inch should be sufficient for most people. If desired, fold the extra inch to meet your needs. To have an idea of how you need to change the shoulder, place pins in the shoulder to keep it intact and rests lightly on the jacket.

Restitch shoulder from the inside of the jacket using your sewing machine. When finished cut any loose fabric from the inside of the jacket. Cut flush point to avoid any discomfort when wearing the jacket.
