Hook Weave
A movement of swinging on the hook is when extensions are added after full head of natural hair is braided mat on the scalp. Completed in about four to six hours, this weaving technique allows all natural hair to be completely stowed in order to grow. Your scalp is exposed to keep clean and moisturized.

Interlock weave braid
Similar to the technique of crochet, weaving locking is done by adding - as you braid - braid extensions of bulk with braids. It allows your scalp to breathe and stay clean and moisturized. Interlock weave braid takes about three to four hours to complete by a professional. It is the most practical armor because it is faster to fill and easier to maintain. Maintenance is as fast as it takes to defeat them and re-braid a cornrow.

Sew in weave
The sew-in is generally accepted as the best option to go natural armor. Reason being, it is much more versatile. Just as with a wig, any type of hair can be added and switched faster with interlock or crochet weave. According to the type of hair style, the technique requires that some or all of the natural hair be braided in mat. A net is then fixed on the mat, and then tracked armor is sewn, cut and style on the net. However, sew it requires more work than the hook and lock. It should be changed every three to four weeks for maintenance.

Caring for hair
Without worrying about the type of armor you get don't forget to keep your hair clean, moisturized and conditioned. The biggest mistake women are going natural is to forget the health of their hair. You don't want to transition your hair chemically transformed long damaged broken-off natural braids, change your armor all three to six weeks. Wash, condition, moisturize and keep the trimmed. At the time wherever you are ready to make the big revelation, your hair will be thick, healthy, kinky and curly.
