Instructions

1

Apply a non fat SPF 15 or higher sunscreen on your face when you're outdoors. Sun exposure slows the ability of your body to heal, so the red marks take longer to fade. A wide-brimmed hat also helps to protect your face from UV rays.

2

Use only non-abrasive on your skin beauty products until it heals. Abrasive products irritate your skin and worsen redness.

3

Moisturize your skin with a moisturizer that is loaded with antioxidants for faster healing. Products containing retinol and niacinamide may also yield results.

4

Apply an Exfoliating product containing beta hydroxy acids (BHA) or acid alpha-hydroxy (AHA). BHA treats acne and may fade red marks. AHA products also fade red marks, but they are unable to penetrate the oil, so do not count on them to rid your face of buttons.

5

Cover the red marks with a foundation without oil or concealer until they heal. Apply a green-tinted concealer to counteract the redness of the buttons and then cover them Foundation that matches your skin tone.
