Create a waterfall braid on someone else
Instructions
The braid of the cascade
1
Start with dry, carefully brushed hair. Matted hair will be more difficult to braid and result in a messier braid. Separate the hair along its natural setting. If you are plaiting hair are very thin or soft, rub a bit of ointment in your hands to get a better grip on the slippery strands.
2
Beginning of the braid: gather a section of 2 inches of hair over the forehead, on the side that has more hair. If you are braided around a central part, you can start on either side. Divide the section of hair in three parts and create a standard French braid for two to three inches. This will help to lock in the braid of the waterfall and keep the loose strands out of the face.
3
Creating the look of the cascade: once you have French braided up to three inches of hair to lock the braid, it is time to start the look of the waterfall. Continue braiding as you would a French braid, except instead of picking up the lower strand each time you are going to drop and pick up a new pane just beside it just drop.
This is what creates the cascading effect that makes the single braid waterfall. Continue braiding in this way, always leave the bottom strand drop and pick up a new component as you go. Braid all the way around the Crown of the head.
4
The appearance of finishing: once you've reached the other side of the Crown and leave hair braiding, you can pin the braid in place with hairpins or continue this until you have a classic three-strand braid which is located near the ear of braiding. Secure with a hair elastic.
