Peel the grapefruit manually and shred using a citrus peel grinder or use a machine to scrape and separate the epicarp, the outer part of the rind of grapefruit, albedo, the inner white part of the Peel.

Express cold or compress without heat, grapefruit zest shredded by a hydraulic press to 15,000 psi.

Centrifuge the epicarp under controlled conditions to separate the solids from the oil. Keep the temperature between 82 and 86 degrees Fahrenheit for 45 minutes, while the RPM to 15,000.

Press solids under the same conditions to extract more oil.

Separate the essential oil using a separatory funnel.

Filter and bottle the essential oil of grapefruit.
