Instructions

1

Measure the size of your waist and add 6 inches - a space enough to buckle. Take your measurement where you want your belt to wrap around your body. For example, if you prefer a less riding on hip belt, wrap the tape measure around your hips in the lower area.

2

Cut the desired length leather belt. To do this on the end that has holes punched, to avoid having to remove the belt loop. Use a pair of scissors of leather for a precise and even cut. If you prefer a cut patterned as a curve, use a pencil to outline the design inside the belt and use snips of leather or a razor blade to cut the end of the strap.

3

Wrap the belt around your body and secure it in place with a clothespin. Use a pencil to mark where to go new belt holes, spacing of the holes in the same distance as the existing one. Drill the holes with a punch of leather to create a professional look that mimics those already punched in your belt.

4

Try the belt and make the necessary adjustments.
